The Victorian Police Motor Sports Club held Round 3 of their Club Championships at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex, Broadford over the past weekend, utilising the Dirt Track at the complex.
VPMSC is a small family orientated club with participation and fun the fundamental aim of the Club.
“Dependent on the dirt discipline, we get on average around 25 participants made up of both Seniors and Juniors,” Club President Colin Chamings said.
“Sunday’s event saw 15 Seniors and 6 Juniors on the gas for most of the day.”
The results for all the grades/participants on the day will be posted in the VPMSC monthly newsletter and awards for Senior/Junior class results and all Juniors participating will be presented at the next monthly General Meeting.
“We recently had the Street Family join our Club – watching both Tayla and Jacob show how a 125 2-stroke could smoke (no pun intended) the rest of the field was brilliant to watch.”
“Aside from a few broken heart strings in the Senior ranks, the day was trouble free, no major injuries and smiles all around.”
As always there are a number of people to thank whenever an event is put on and run and done, Colin and the VPMSC would like to thank the following people: John Coleman (“for prepping and maintaining a primo circuit for the day”), Don Street/Jason Light (“for running the start gate all day”), John Hogan/Rob Burrows (“for scoring 47 heats in total”), Glenn Boxhall (“for safety equipment and bike scrutineering) and the whole club (“for marshalling/flagging when required without being asked!”).
