The Victorian Off Road Championships are moving onto Round 9 & 10 in Omeo with the weekend hosted by the Koo Wee Rup Motorcycle Club. One rider who is looking forward to the next round(s) is Alisha Major.
Alisha is competing in the Junior Girls class where she is currently in second position (behind leader Lauren Dunstan).
Alisha participated in the same class at last years Victorian Off Road Championships and was happy with her performances last year.
“I placed fourth in the Junior Girls class last year and was very happy to finish there after missing two rounds,” Alisha said.
“I’ve been happy with how I’ve been going in the previous rounds this year. I’ve managed to podium all rounds except for the first two which I’m stoked about!”
Alisha was one of eight young riders selected to take part in the MV Elite Rider Training Camp early last month and says she’ll take those teachings into this round.
“This upcoming round I’m using the knowledge I learnt at the MV Elite Rider Training Camp to get myself ready for the weekend.”
“I generally prepare by keeping my fitness up and trying to ride as much as possible.”
When asked what she enjoys about the Victorian Off Road Championships, Alisha said:
“There is not one thing about the VORC that I do not enjoy – it is all fun and enjoyable!”
Rounds 9 & 10 of the Victorian Off Road Championships are taking place this coming weekend, the 5th & 6th August in Omeo.
