The fourth and final round of the 2017 Victorian Junior MX Championships will take place this weekend down at the Wonthaggi Motocross Track and one of the riders ready to tackle the weekend head on is Ezekiel Bertoni.
Ezekiel is taking part in the 85cc BW B Grade class and is currently leading that class.
“This is my first year riding the Victorian Junior MX Championships, I rode in the 85cc BW C Grade class in the Northern Regions last year and came second overall,” Ezekiel said.
“I was really happy with that result, as it was the first time I had competed in any Regional Competition and that’s when I decided I would try the Victorian level this year.”
Ezekiel had a great start to the Championships, finishing in first place for both Round 1 and Round 2 however Round 3 didn’t go entirely to plan.
“Had a really good round at Cobram and Colac but I wasn’t on my game at Rosebud and that showed in the results.”
“Leading up to the final round I’ll be trying to get as much time on my bike as possible, I also spend plenty of time working on my fitness with boxing, cycling and running.”
When asked what he enjoys about the Victorian Junior MX Championships, Ezekiel said:
“The things I enjoy most about the Championships is just riding my bike. I also enjoy the other competition and battles I’ve had through the year.”
“I’m looking forward to riding the final round and future rounds to come.”
The final round of racing for the Victorian Junior MX Championship is this weekend (Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd July) at the Wonthaggi MX Track.
