Ravenswood is set to play host to Round 3 of the Victorian Trial Series with the Trials Club of Victoria managing the weekend’s meeting.
The club is expecting approximately 70 riders to attend round three of the series in what is sure to be a great weekend.
“We have classes from Sub Junior to Expert and lines marked out for each class in between,” TCV President Phil Whittle said.
The Sub-Junior class rides from start gate to finish gate.
The riders in the Clubperson class follow the easiest marked line (white arrows).
C Grade and Classic/Twinshock follow the blue line that has much tighter turns and steps.
C+ class riders all follow the blue markers as well as a few extra “Blue+” markers.
B Grade and Masters follow the yellow markers, much bigger steps and turns that you will need to hop.
A Grade follow the red markers with big steps and gaps while Expert follow the same markers plus any extra “A+” markers.
“Add to those classes that we should also have a few Sidecars at this event and it is a jam-packed weekend,” Phil added.
“I like seeing all of the grades compete but you can’t beat the look on the Sub Juniors faces when they get a clean and then there’s the sheer skill of the A Grade and Expert riders.”
Results from the weekend will be placed on the Trials Australia website (https://trials.com.au).
The Key Officials for this weekend are – Steward: Colin Scott, Clerk of Course: Phil Whittle, Scrutineer: Paul Sens and Race Secretary: Glenda Whittle.
“I’d like to thank land owner Lindsey McPherson for use of the property and also Regional Events First Aid for their assistance,” Phil said.
To get to the location, turn into Hokins Rd off the Calder Highway between Ravenswood and Ravenswood South. Travel approximately 5.5km to a gate on top of the hill (right hand side) and a house on the opposite side. The property name is Barwidgee, signs will be erected on the day.
After this weekend, the following round (fourth) will take place at Flagstaff Lane, Tooborac.
