DIRT track racers of all ages have until this Friday, September 2, to get their entries in for the Pope Building Services 2016 Victorian Junior & Senior Dirt Track Titles.
This annual battle to find the state’s best will be staged at the Broadford’s State Motorcycle Sports Complex track on the weekend of September 17 and 18.
The 2016 showdown will be hosted by the Harley Club of Victoria, which is one of just three Victorian clubs that can host this exciting discipline of motorcycle racing.
In recent years those three clubs (the others being the Albury-Wodonga Motorcycle Club and the North West Victorian Motorcycle Club situated near Mildura) have hosted this championship meeting on rotation.
Championship racing across all the junior and senior classes invariably provides some intense competition.
In the seniors there will be the usual open classes, while Under 19s, Women’s, Over 40s and Pre-1990 machines are all catered for, whilst all junior classes are also programmed.
Harley Club of Victoria president, and newly-installed Motorcycling Victoria president, Richard Loft, is looking forward to another successful hosting of the event after it was last held at Broadford in 2013.
“Last Sunday’s regular practice day at Broadford had nearly 100 riders in attendance, including a number from interstate, so the club is hopeful of a strong entry for the championships,” Loft said.
“Remember, to be part of the show entries must be in by this Friday, and no late entries will be accepted,” he added.
