Undera Speedway has just confirmed that it will host Round 2 of the coveted FIM Oceania Sidecar Cup on Saturday night, April 2, 2016.
Gillman Speedway Manager Dave Parker is really excited about hosting the prestigious event: “It’s fantastic that the FIM Oceania Sidecar Cup is going to Undera.
“Undera has pulled big crowds over the past few years when they’ve hosted the Australian Speedway Solo Championship.
“There is absolutely no reason why fans won’t flock here for one of the biggest Sidecar events in Australia this season,” Dave said.
Undera is rich in Sidecar history with riders like two-time Australian Speedway Sidecar champion Andrew Cleave hailing from the Greater Shepparton area.
Dave is also hoping patrons from Melbourne will make the short trip up the Goulburn Valley Highway to witness world-class Sidecar racing.
“They’ve been starved for major Sidecar events over the past few years closer to home so this one is definitely one not to be missed!” Dave continued.
“Hopefully, this will be a stepping stone for the club to host future events like this and we hope everyone supports this meeting,” Dave said.
Riders from the USA, UK, NZ and the best Sidecar riders from Australia will all converge on Undera for the second round of FIM Oceania Sidecar Cup.
