Round 2 of the Junior Victorian Motocross Championships is all set for an action packed weekend at Korumburra!
The Korumburra club volunteers are out in full force preparing the track today, it has been all hands on deck to grade, water and set up the track for this weekend, to ensure that it is in race ready condition. Luckily a little bit of rain has touched down, so it’s looking like perfect timing to get the track right. Korumburra Club have done a great job! The MXMV management team is down there today and report that the track is looking a million bucks!
Racing on home turf is Henry Bird (a local Korumburra MCC member) in the 125cc B-grade class. Bird cleaned up in round one of the Junior Championships at Shipwreck Coast a month ago, finishing the round in first place with 93 points! Bird will be looking to capitalise on his home ground advantage, going for the win again.
In the 50cc class also on home turf and with the Korumburra MCC is Benny Veale. Veale also took out round one of the Junior Championships in the 50cc class at Shipwreck Coast a month ago, finishing the round in first place with 100 points! Veale goes into round 2 showing great form and excellent sportsmanship!
We cannot wait to see the outcome of this weekend. One thing is for sure the local riders are sure going to make the field work hard for their places!
