These days are a relaxed recreational setting. They are not aimed at catering to the serious racer.
Riders of all skill levels are encouraged to attend these days, to develop their skills and confidence on a bike.
Riders are split up depending on bike size and skill level on the day, so they will always be with riders of a similar skill level, this ensures that the coaches can give each group the best advice and guidance for the day.
The Kick Start and Minikhana coaching material is predominantly used throughout the day to give the kids a range of drills across the day and keep them busy – we want to try and help out the parents too by tiring the kids out!
The days for 2018 will all take place at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex, Broadford on the MX Track and Junior MX Track.

What is Kick Start coaching material?
Kick Start coaching is a program that assesses the competency of a junior rider on their motorcycle and also their knowledge of motorcycling sport so that they can participate in competitive motorcycling. The coaches on the day will have Kick Start books available (alternatively you can download one in advance HERE). This assessment is of a non-competitive nature and is to ascertain that the junior is competent and safe to operate their motorcycle.
What is Minikhana coaching material?
Minikhana is a skills focused training and development program. Where skill, rather than speed is the aim. There are a series of small courses that teach the kids different skills in a controlled environment.
