Motorcycling Victoria is proud to be hosting a Training Camp for Victorian riders who will be heading to South Australia to take part in the Australian Junior MX Championships.
Just as entries open for the 2016 Australian Junior MX Championships, Motorcycling Victoria is proud to announce a Training Camp for Victorian riders who will be going to South Australia and participating in the event.
The Training Camp is open to all Victorian junior MX riders who are planning on travelling interstate for the Championships and will be hosted at the Swan Hill Motorcycle Club.
It will take place on the weekend of September 10-11 with camping and canteen facilities available at the track.
“It’s very exciting to be able to make this announcement,” MV Sport & Rider Development Manager Mark Vallance said.
“It will provide all Victorian riders the chance to get some great tips and coaching before heading interstate and putting their best foot forward as they represent, not just themselves, but Victoria as well!”
The Swan Hill Motorcycle Club will play host for the Camp and club President Greg O’Bree believes that it will give our riders a great boost.
“The Swan Hill Motorcycle Club is very excited to be hosting a two day elite coaching program in preparation for the 2016 Australian Junior MX Championships,” Greg said.
“We believe that our track conditions will be very similar to Renmark, given our neighbouring location and hopefully, exposure to the same track conditions will give our State riders a competitive advantage in the Championships,” he added.
Greg also hopes that a number of locals come out and watch the Camp and see just how great some of our junior riders are.
“This will also give our local riders a chance to observe the best junior riders in our state in action and to see what it takes to compete at the highest level.”
More information will be released as it becomes available, however Mark is hopeful that in the coming weeks all details will be set and ready to go.
“I’m currently chatting with a number of the top coaches in the State and I’m hopeful that, very soon, we’ll be able to put their names out there and really put together an intense, extremely worthwhile, two day Camp for our riders.” Mark said.
