Motorcycling Victoria has just been successful in securing funding for the Victorian Government’s 2016-19 Supporting Victorian Sport and Recreation Program, which is designed to enhance, economic, health and wellbeing and social capital outcomes for all Victorians through community sport and active recreation.
As a result, $175,000 has been awarded to Motorcycling Victoria to continue its efforts to deliver initiatives that increase community participation and inclusion in sport and active recreation.
“This is a fabulous achievement for Motorcycling Victoria that will allow us to further grow participation and inclusion opportunities across all disciplines of motorcycle sport for the next three and a half years,” MV’s Chief Executive Officer Wayne Holdsworth said.
“The grant money will not be used to further develop the State Motorcycle Sports Complex, or promote Victorian Championship events, but rather develop more programs, like MV’s very successful Female Participation Program, in an effort to make the sport more accessible and open for all Victorians,” he added.
