Motorcycling Victoria has made changes to the cost of permits that will come into effect from the 1st January 2018.
The change was announced to Clubs and Promoters via email yesterday morning and will hopefully see greater numbers of competitive events run throughout 2018.
The current costs of permits are different for every discipline, with some more expensive than others and the changes made to the fees will see greater consistency across the board and some big reductions in cost in some areas.
Current Permit Fees:
Road Race:
State: $1000, Open: $800, Interclub: $700, Club: $300
Motocross:
State: $800, Open: $700, Region: $500, Interclub: $400, Club: $165
Enduro:
State: $800, Open $500, Interclub: $400, Club: $165
Speedway:
State: $800, Junior State: $300, Open:, $700, Interclub: $400, Club: $165
Dirt Track:
State: $600, Open: $500, Interclub: $400, Club: $165
Trial:
State: $500, Open, $400, Interclub: $400, Club: $165
The new permit fees as of 1st January 2018 will be –
Road Race, Motocross, Enduro, Dirt Track & Speedway:
State Championship: $800
Open: $400
Interclub/Region: $400
Club: $165
Practice/Non-Competition: $120
Trial, Quads & Classic Motocross:
State Championship: $400
Open: $200
Interclub: $200
Club: $165
Practice/Non-Competition: $120
There will also be a change to Rider Levies for 2018, again effective as of 1st January 2018.
Rider Levy fees will remain the same in 2018 as 2017 – $6 Non-Competition, $12 Competition.
As of 1st January 2018, any event that has 10 riders or less will be exempt from Rider Levies.
