ARARAT Motorcycle Club yesterday bestowed long-serving volunteer Lorraine MacDonald, known fondly as Mrs Mac, with a fantastic framed-photo of club members near her dedicated tree that she would use to sit under when volunteering at events for the Victorian Motocross Championships throughout the years.
It was presented by Rodney Peachey and other members of Ararat MC.
Speaking about the memento, Rodney said: “Our secretary made a new sign for Mrs Mac’s Tree at one of her son’s (Glenn MacDonald’s) coaching day last year. We got all the kids together and took a nice photo. We thought it’d be a nice gesture that could be hung in our clubrooms and another one presented to Mrs Mac.
“She’s an absolute legend of the sport. She used to come up here a fair bit for the Victorian Motocross Championships and run the show. She’s well-known up here. Our sport wouldn’t be where it is without her, especially with the juniors,” Rodney added.
Motorcycling Victoria agrees with Ararat MC’s sentiments and congratulates the club and Mrs Mac!
