STEPHEN Mion, of Bulleen Health & Fitness and FitMoto, is back onboard for Motorcycling Victoria’s Elite Rider Training Camp in 2016.
Stephen has been charged with running the morning fitness sessions on each day of the Camp for the past two years, as well as running seminars on Nutrition, Rehabilitation and Drugs In Sport.
“It’s great to be a part of the MV Elite Rider Training Camp for the third year in a row,” Stephen said.
“It’s a really exciting time, as this year we’ve seen students from the original Camp graduate to senior competition with great results and last years group is not far behind either.”
Sport Development & Events Manager Mark Vallance is very glad to have FitMoto and Stephen as part of the Camp once again.
“The level of professionalism and knowledge that Stephen has brought in each of the past two years has been invaluable to the riders,” Mark said.
“What’s been most pleasing to see though, has been the ongoing relationship between Stephen and a number of the riders long after the Camp has finished. He has made himself available to help out any of the riders whenever they ask for it and plenty have taken him up on that offer,” Mark added.
Stephen echoed Marks thoughts and loves the ongoing contact with the riders.
“FitMoto has continued to work with many of these junior athletes long after the Camp and it’s been a really exciting journey to watch their transformation as they progress on and off the bike.” Stephen said.
Stephen has spent time in Europe working in the Moto 2 and Moto 3 circuits before returning to Australia and helping our riders reach the top of the sport in our own country, before making their way overseas. These riders include Jed Metcher, Glenn Scott, Hudson Pitt and Adrian Nestorovic.
“Again this year we plan to bring some thorough education to all participants over our daily boot camps as part of the overall Camp. Our seminar sessions covering important subjects such as Drugs in Sport, Nutrition and Specific Training Exercises will also give the riders some great information,” Stephen continued.
“I can’t wait to have some laughs and smash personal goals with this years group of athletes, I look forward to meeting them all!” Stephen added.
The 2016 Motorcycling Victoria Elite Rider Training Camp is due to take place between September 19-21.
