Motorcycling Victoria is very happy to announce the next coach who will form part of our main coaching team at the Australian Junior MX Training Camp taking place in September: Mark Willingham.
“I’m really looking forward to getting up to Swan Hill and putting our young riders through their paces so they can do their very best over in SA,” Mark Willingham said.
Mark is a Level 2 Coach, and is also the presenter for our Level 1 Coaching Courses, bringing new coaches into the fold. He has also been a team manager for the Australian team at the World Junior MX Championships (multiple times) so knows what it takes to win.
MV Sport & Rider Development Manager Mark Vallance is excited to have Mark on board for the Camp, which is open to all Victorian Junior MX riders who are planning on travelling interstate for the Championships.
“We’re extremely lucky to have Mark joining us as part of our coaching team for the Training Camp,” Mark Vallance said.
“He’s knowledge and experience will be an absolute bonus for all the riders in attendance as well as all of the coaches who come on board to help us out.”
The Camp will provide all Victorian riders with the chance to get some tips and coaching before heading interstate and putting their best foot forward as they represent, not just themselves, but Victoria as well.
Mark Willingham will also be taking the opportunity to mentor some of the coaches coming through the ranks during this Camp.
“In my role as a member of the Coaching Panel, and as a Level 2 Coach, I’m here to help out any of our coaches. This Camp will also give them a chance to broaden their experience and ask some questions of myself and Jades.” Mark said.
The Australian Junior MX Training Camp will take place at the Swan Hill Motorcycle Club on September 10-11.
More information will be released shortly. The Australian Junior Motocross Championships take place in Renmark, South Australia on September 24 – October 1.
