One of the biggest events in Australia is taking place this weekend in Victoria, hosted by the North West Victorian Motorcycle Club – the Hattah Desert Race.
Samantha and Ellie Beecroft have never attempted the Hattah Desert Race before but they are both excited to find out how they go.
Samantha will be competing in the Tenacious Ladies of Hattah class on the Sunday, riding a YZ250 and Ellie will compete in the Guttsy Girls of Hattah Junior class on Saturday, riding a YZ125.
Both girls started their racing in the 50cc class but have always ridden in MX events, Sam has been riding for 12 years and Ellie for nine. Now tackling Hattah for the first time, their main source of apprehension is whether they can complete the amount of riding they need to in this event. However, that won’t keep them from giving it a red hot crack and they are both excited for their first attempt at desert racing!
Samantha has previously attended the MV Elite Rider Training Camp (2015 & 2016), there’s no doubt she and Ellie will give it their absolute best over the coming weekend.
The sisters are looking forward to this weekend and are even more pleased that their debut at this event will take place at the 20th anniversary of Hattah.
Keep an eye on the MV Website and Facebook Page for a full week of Hattah build and don’t forget that the North West Vic MCC Facebook Page is also your best place to get information about the upcoming event!
