One of the biggest events in Australia is taking place this weekend in Victoria, hosted by the North West Victorian Motorcycle Club – the Hattah Desert Race.
Richard Loft, the current MV President, has taken part in this huge event a number of times in the past and says it is one of the main attractions each year.
“Hattah, without a doubt, would be one of the most important off-road events on the Victorian calendar,” Richard said.
“It’s just fantastic for the sport in Victoria.”
Unfortunately for Richard, he won’t be able to compete in the event this year due to an injury but he says the event “grabs a hold of you and keeps you coming back for more.”
“It’s one of my favourite events, if not my favourite, and it’s one that gets into your blood.”
“Unfortunately, for me, this year I won’t be able to compete due to an injury I sustained earlier in the year. However I hope to be back again next year!”
As we all know, events (especially events of this magnitude) can’t get off the ground without hard work from countless volunteers and this event is no exception.
“The North West Victorian Motorcycle Club work tirelessly preparing for Hattah and that is evident in the way that the event runs each year.”
“They do a fantastic job and should be applauded for the work they put in to this great event.”
“Good luck to the club and all of the competitors for the 2017 Hattah Desert Race!”
