The East Malvern Motorcycle Club ran a successful round of their Club Championships over this past weekend at the home of the Traralgon Motorcycle Club.
East Malvern Club Secretary Ben Wood, was happy with the overall running of the event on the weekend,
“We had around 40 riders on the day with classes being Expert, Non-Expert and 50+,” Ben said.
“There was plenty of close racing and everyone rode exceptionally well, a couple of the stand out riders from my point of view were Leigh Robertson, the Brady Brothers, Jack Caughey, Cheyenne Jones and Emma Broadbent.”
Results from the day are yet to be fully confirmed.
Aside from the Expert, Non-Expert and 50+ classes, the day also included a “Feature Race” which consisted of teams of two doing a relay style race. Teams were decided by running a sprint and the fastest person went with the slowest person (the second fastest with the second slowest etc. etc.) to make it as even as possible.
“Many thanks to all of the flag people who helped us out, Anthony Dillon for his work on the BBQ and all of the East Malvern members who helped the event run smoothly.”
