A WASH-OUT back in September has not deterred a classy line-up of dirt track racers to confirm their entries for the Pope Building Services 2016 Victorian Junior and Senior Dirt Track Championships which will now be staged at Broadford’s State Motorcycle Sports Complex dirt track on the weekend of December 10-11.
While there are a handful of riders who are missing from the original list of entries, the extra time, and now rescheduled staging date, has attracted even more riders than originally entered.
The Harley Club of Victoria will be hosting the event and club president Richard Loft is still delighted with both the quantity and quality of the line-up.
“You always expect to lose some riders when you have a postponement, but that has been offset by more who were not intending to be there on the original date,” Richard said.
“The interest in this title meeting is very pleasing, and I am sure we are in for plenty of top-flight competition in all classes,” he added.
Club officials are working through the entries this week to compile what is expected to be a big program of racing over the two days. For more information please visit: www.harleyclubofvictoria.com.au.
