The State Motorcycle Sports Complex is opening the gates to the Road Race circuit this weekend with a recreational ride day on Sunday 9th July.
The Road Broadford Ride Day is a track day that is open to Recreational Licence holders only with sign-on commencing from approximately 7.30am. Riders Briefing will then take place around 8.45am with the first group heading onto the track just after 9am.
Riders are placed into groups of Novice, Intermediate and Advanced and there is no need to pre-book, simply turn up on the morning and complete the indemnity form and payment from 7.30am.
All riders must have an ASA approved helmet, leather suit with back brace (two piece is permissible so long as they zip together and no skin is visible), calf length leather road riding boots and leather gloves. There are a small number of riding leathers available for hire.
The Ride Day cost is $150 for the day if you already have a recreational licence. For those that don’t have a recreational licence already, you can purchase a Day Rec Licence for an additional $30 or an Annual Rec Licence (valid for 12 months from the date of purchase) for an additional $130 on the day.
