Jointly presented by Vicsport and the Victorian Government, the Victorian Sport Awards is the premier event on the state’s sporting calendar that recognises and celebrates the achievements of the state’s home grown sporting heroes and legends.
Each year, the Victorian Sport Awards honours those who have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Victoria from the grassroots through to the elite sporting level. 19 awards will be presented this evening acknowledging the achievements of Victorian individual and team athletes, coaches, administrators and volunteers from both metropolitan and regional areas of the state.
Highlighting the significance of the event to the Victorian sporting landscape, the Victorian Sport Awards have recognised the achievements of some of the most prominent names in Victorian sport including Cathy Freeman, Cadel Evans, James Tomkins, Leisel Jones, Craig Mottram, Mack Horton and Shane Warne.
As a preferred supplier and media partner of Vicsport, My Sport Live is also proud to be sponsoring two awards tonight – My Sport Live Victorian Community Sporting Event of the Year Award & My Sport Live Victorian Community Sporting Club of the Year Award.
